Welcome to the sixth annual MAS Summit for New York City! It’s time to take your place among more than 1,000 attendees, 100 speakers, 800,000 online participants to hear more than 60 dynamic talks, all to envision The City We Want!
We at the Municipal Arts Society are here to help you get the most out of these sessions, and out of your stay. That is why we have provided you with this innovative Float Traveler app. It can help you experience New York City in a whole new way.
As you may have noticed as you opened it, It geolocates you, and identifies all the points of interest that surround you. Touch any point, and an original story about the city’s architecture and art, or history and heritage, unfolds in the palm of your hand. By seamlessly integrating the navigation of the street and the appreciation of the cultural artifacts located on it, Float connects you to the city, weaving the stories into a native intelligence.
MAS has collaborated with Float to identify and create the stories that are most interesting to urbanists like you. Feel free to use Float to explore all the compelling sights within walking distance of the Times Center, as well as the ones that intrigue you the most in the city at large.
It will be easier to envision The City We Want once you’ve had a chance to explore The City We Have!
We’d love to hear about your experiences exploring the city with Float. Please share your comments by visiting mas.org/linkTBD
